DR FABONG BECOMES THE CHAIRMAN OF CHAIRMEN FORUM OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA.

Dr Jemchang Fabong,The Plateau Youth Council Chairman was unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the chairmen forum of the National Youth Council of Nigeria state chairmen at their meeting in Abuja.
The communique issued at the end of the meeting delivered to the press read;

Communique of the Forum of State Chairmen meeting which held on the 28th April 2019 at the Crown Prince Hotel Wuse Zone 7 Abuja.

The meeting was called to order at about 9pm in the evening by Emmanuel George of Taraba state NYCN, who also chaired the meeting. A word of prayer was said by Halilu Isa the Chairman of NYCN Adamawa state.

The Chairman of the meeting Emmanuel George lamented over the state of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, given the factions and deep divisions preventing the Council from operating smoothly. He called on the Forum of State Chairmen being the fulcrum of the Council and also the last hope of the Council to breast up and organize the Council to what it was before it present state.

The Chairman of Benue Frank Mbas also encouraged the Forum of State Chairmen to continue to interface with each others towards walking the Council out of the woods.

Emmanuel George opened up the issues affecting the country which insecurity and the spates of kidnappings across the states of the federation. The floor was then opened for discussion and contributions. After extensive deliberations,

The forum resolved as follows;

1. The Forum of State Chairmen salutes the courage of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari for taking the initiative to bring about a stability despite these challenges.

2. The Forum of State Chairmen also passed a vote of confidence on the Armed Forces of Nigeria given the limitations, yet they are able to give their best in protecting the people.

3. The Forum appreciates the Executive Governor of Plateau State the RT Hon Simon Bako Lalong for being the most youth friendly governor in Nigeria and the giant strides he made in the place of employment, empowerment and engagement of youths on the Plateau.

4. The Forum of State Chairmen also passes a vote of confidence on Hon Ahmed Idris Maje and endorses his candidature to lead the Federal House of Representatives in the 9th Assembly.

5. The Forum through Frank Mbas also moved for the elections of a new leadership for the State Forum. Dr Fabong Jemchang Yildam, Chairman of the Council on the Plateau was unanimously voted to take over as Chairman of the Chairmen Forum. Prince Adeleke of Ogun State was also voted unanimously as Secretary of the Forum.

Leaders of the Council were elated with the process and progress which was unexpected and encouraged the new leadership of the Forum to chart a new course for the Council.

Meeting came to an end at 11.50pm and closing prayer was said by the Chairman, NYCN Nassarawa State.
